After attempting to clean the surface ignitor on a A.O. Smith power vented water heater we had to replace it. Installed a new A.O. Smith 9003626005 hot surface ignitor for the GPSH/FPSH series 200 tank. Unit is now working properly.

Gas Water Heater
Remove and replace the AO Smith commercial 100 gallon water heater and install two 50 Gallon residential Rheem water heaters. The tanks will be piped in parallel so the hot water drawn off comes out of the tanks evenly. There will be an expansion tank on each heater and we will pull a permit with Cleveland Heights. This will make sure the tanks wear out evenly. There will be shut off valves on both of the hot and cold lines so that one tank could be turned off. Operating with one unit could be useful to save energy or incase one tank leaks it will give you time to have the leaking tank replaced. The tow new tanks will be set in the same location as the current water heater and be piped into the current flue pipe with a wye fitting. There appears to be a circulating line that is capped off coming into the mechanical room. I'm not sure if there is currently a wait to get hot water to the fixtures in the home, but if there is we could look at using this line or putting a under counter pump up in one of the bathrooms. 2- Rheem 22V50F1 Serial #0411518565 Serial #0411518571 I researched the system we put into Tetzlaff which was two tankless water heaters, a circulator under the master bath counter and a 6 or 10 gallon electric heater next to the tankless heaters. The electric heater is for helping with circulation and cold water sandwiches. If it seems like theirs is any interest I can work up a price.
